Behind the scenes
Every gift has a story
This is Truffaut's, told by the person who made it.

It started with a birthday
It was the birthday of someone important to me, and I was about 350km away. A text felt like too little. Flowers, too predictable.
So I spent a week building a digital gift. Not a page with photos: an experience. It opened on the phone, the screen went dark, a few lines appeared at just the right time, a gift showed up to be opened and, inside it, a letter, polaroids and our own little references.
When she opened it, something clicked: a screen can move people too, if it has rhythm, surprise and care.
A shoebox, only digital
You know that shoebox we put together for someone? A printed photo, a note, an old ticket, the song that reminds you of them. Every item chosen with care, and the box handed over in person.
Truffaut is that box, only digital. You put it together with the same care and it reaches the person wherever they are: across town, across the country or across the world. A birthday, missing someone, a proposal, a thank-you, or just wanting to remind someone they matter.
To make that first gift, I had to code everything from scratch. Truffaut exists so nobody else has to.
So why Truffaut?
The name comes from cinema. Day for Night, by François Truffaut, is a film about making a film: the backstage, the scenes coming together, people working side by side so an experience can exist.
Truffaut here is the same idea, from the other side of the camera: an experience about creating an experience. That's why I care so much about what it feels like to put a gift together. Picking the photos, writing the letter, watching it all take shape has to feel good, not like a chore.
Truffaut is an independent Brazilian digital gift studio, with no ties to filmmaker François Truffaut, his heirs or his work.
House rules
Your style, not a template's
Templates help you start. But whoever receives it has to recognize you in it: in the writing, the photos, the way it feels.
Fewer things, more moment
One photo at the right time beats thirty at once. Rhythm is what gives you chills.
Opening fast is care too
A gift that stutters loses its magic. Truffaut is built to open smoothly on any phone, even the simplest ones.
The moment is yours
Photos and stories are the heart of the gift. We handle them like someone keeping a letter.
The premiere is coming
I want Truffaut to be the place where memories become experiences. And you can be one of the first to create.
